Use the component to bring a prespecified frequency band down to DC. The process is also called amplitude demodulation. By lowering the sampling frequency using high speed decimation, very narrow frequency bands can be extracted in real time. The resulting signal can then be used for high-resolution (mili/micro Hertz). frequency analysis of the obtained frequency band. This process is also referred to as zoom-spectrum.
